Rainbow Ink In Fortnite – What is it, where to find it, and what it is used for (Spawn Locations)

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Here’s everything you need to know about Rainbow Ink in Fortnite chapter 2 season 8.

Alien Artifacts were added in season 7. They needed to be collected in order to unlock different customizable options for Kymera. Each week, new artifacts were added to the map, with most weeks adding five new artifacts.

Artifacts have been replaced with two different objects in Fortnite season 8, Color Bottles and Rainbow Ink. Both of these need to be found and collected in order to unlock edit styles for the Toona Fish Battle Pass skin.

We have an article dedicated to Color Bottles in Fortnite, but it’s time to dive in deeper on the Rainbow Ink collectable this season. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

What is Rainbow Ink and What is it Used For in Fortnite?

Rainbow Ink is used to unlock different styles for the Toona Fish Battle Pass skin. The Color Bottles are used to unlock the first set of styles, from there on, the Rainbow Ink unlocks the character styles and future styles that will be added in the next major update.

Where to find Fortnite Rainbow Ink (Spawn Locations)

Unlike Alien Artifacts from this season and the Color Bottles this season, there are not set spawn locations where you’ll be able to find and collect Rainbow Ink. You’ll likely come across the ink without even trying as you can find it from any chest.

Obviously, there’s not a 100% chance that you’ll get Rainbow Ink from a chest, so you’ll need to find and open as many chests as you can in order to get your hands on ink. We’re not certain, but we’re assuming you’ll have a guaranteed or better chance of getting Ink from the Cosmic or new cube chests.

D’Ark Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 Starter Pack Fallen Light Leaked – Release Date & Price

Reading Time: 2 minutes

We know what will be included in the Fortnite chapter 2 season 8 Fallen Light Starter Pack.

The Fortnite servers are still currently down for maintenance to prepare them for the release of chapter 2 season 8. As is the norm when the servers are down, data-miners have been looking through the files and leaking anything new that they find.

We know some of the new weapons and items that’ll be available this season including Dr Slone’s Burst Assault Rifle along with two sideways weapons, a rifle and a minigun. We also know that the Fortnite’s 4th birthday has some of the assets in the files, but the challenges for the event are currently encrypted.

We have a number of cosmetics leaks, one of which is the Fortnite chapter 2 season 8 starter pack. However, this was added in the v17.50 update. For whatever reason, Epic always add in next seasons starter pack in the last update before the season ends.

We already knew the name of the season 8 starter pack, Fallen Light, along with the cosmetics that would be available. However, there’s always a chance they could change, but this isn’t the case for the Fallen Light Starter Pack. Here’s what’s included in the pack.

Fortnite Fallen Light Season 8 Starter Pack

D’Ark Fortnite Skin

This is probably one of the better starter pack skins we’ve seen in a while. D’Ark is of rare rarity and the description for the skin is “open your heart to victory”. Here’s what the skin looks like:

The Fallen Light Pack also includes the Shattered Hope Back Bling and the Dark Blessing Pickaxe. There’s also 600 V-Bucks included like we’ve seen with every other starter pack that’s been released.

Release Date & Price

Starter packs usually release a few days after a new season begins. There’s no official release date, but we could see the Fallen Light pack release as we approach the weekend, or we could see it release next week. The price will likely be the same as other starter packs, $3.99.

All Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 8 (Season 18) Battle Pass Cosmetics/Items – Skins, Pickaxes, Gliders, Emotes, Wraps & More

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Here are all of the cosmetics you can earn in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 Battle Pass. These cosmetics include Skins, Pickaxes, Gliders, Emotes, Wraps, Loading Screens and more.

Last season in Fortnite, Epic Games had changed the way in which Battle Passes work as there are now 10 pages with 10 cosmetic on each page for players to choose from. You can pick the cosmetic you want from a page if you have enough Battle Stars, but there are some pages that have locked cosmetics that you will only be able to purchase if you have claimed all the other rewards from the page first.

It looks like the same format from the Battle Pass has been used again for this season. In order to unlock more pages, you will need to level up. You do not need to purchase every cosmetic on previous pages in order to unlock the later ones but you will need to unlock all Battle Pass items to be able to unlock additional styles later on.

All Fortnite Season 8 Vaulted & Unvaulted Weapons and Items List

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Here’s all the weapons and items we know have been vaulted and unvaulted in Fortnite chapter 2 season 8.

We finally have a new season of Fortnite Battle Royale. The servers are up and players are able to purchase the new Battle Pass, get hands-on with the new weapons and items, and explore all of the map changes that have occurred following the Operation Sky Fire live event.

Every new season of Fortnite brings new weapons to the game and season 8 is no different. We have two Sideways weapons, the Mini Gun and the Rifle, along with Venom and Carnage Mythic Symbiote weapon items.

New Fortnite Season 8 Weapons

We’ll likely see more new weapons added as the season progresses with Data-miner Hypex stating that Epic are working on a Sideways Shotgun and a Sideways Scythe. Hypex has already posted some information on the Sideways Scythe including the abilites which include a Dash, Smash, Charge and Jump attack.

Although we have new weapons, each new season of Fortnite brings changes to the loot pool by vaulting and unvaulting both weapons and items. Here’s a list of Vaulted Fortnite season 8 weapons.

Fortnite Season 8 Vaulted Weapons & Items List

This list for the vaulted Fortnite season 8 weapons and items is likely incomplete as there hasn’t been enough time to check out the loot pool this season. However, here is what we know has been vaulted:

  • AK – Heavy Assault Rifles
  • Deagles – Hand Cannon
  • Silenced SMG
  • Tactical Shotguns
Fortnite Season 8 Vaulted Weapons

Unvaulted Weapons

Here’s the weapons we know have been unvaulted. We also have the War Effort that allows players to vote if they want a specific item to be unvaulted. So far, it looks like players have the option to vote to get the mounted turret unvaulted.

Anyway, here’s the unvaulted weapons:

  • Burst Assault Rifle
  • Lever Action Rifle
  • Harpoons

We’ll update this as we find more weapons that have been vaulted or unvaulted in Fortnite chapter 2 season 8.

What Are Color Bottles In Fortnite Season 8, Where to Find Them & What Are They Used For

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Here’s everything you need to know about Color Bottles in Fortnite chapter 2 season 8.

Last season, Epic Games introduced a new feature, Alien Artifacts. By collecting the artifacts, players were able to unlock different style options for the Kymera Battle Pass skin. There were five Alien Artifacts to collect each week, the more that were collected, the more customization was unlocked for the skin.

There wasn’t any doubt that the artifacts would be removed in season 8. However, we were unsure if Epic would add something similar this season. This season, Epic Games have introduced Color Bottles. Here’s everything you need to know about Color Bottles in Fortnite chapter 2 season 8.

What Are Color Bottles in Fortnite and What Are They Used For?

Color Bottles will unlock different styles for the Toona Fish Fortnite Battle Pass skin. The outfit starts off as black and white, but if you collect the bottles, you’ll unlock 21 different color styles for Toona Fish.

Here’s a look at the Color Bottles menu for Toona Fish:

Fortnite Color Bottles Toona Fish
Fortnite Color Bottles Toona Fish

It looks like you need to collect three bottles of each color to unlock that color style for the skin. It’s likely that there are a set number of colors available to unlock each week.

Fortnite Color Bottles Spawn Locations – Where to Find Them

This system is slightly different to the Alien Artifacts. If you select one of the colors, you’ll notice in the bottom right corner it’ll tell you where you can find that specific color bottle. For example, the Ruby Red colour can be found in Lockie’s Lighthouse. You’ll need to collect three to unlock that color edit style.

We’ll need to unlock the skin to find out more information regarding the release schedule for these colors as we’re not sure if they’re all available at once or not. There are other customization styles including character style edits and a “paint a Toona” edit styles, the first of which will unlock in 17 days.

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 Leaked Skins & Cosmetics – v18.00

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Here are all of the Fortnite Skins and Cosmetics that have been leaked from the v18.00 update.

The launch of Fortnite Season 8 is nearly here as players can now download the v18.00 update, but at the time of writing, servers are still down so is not playable as yet. As with the launch of a new season of the game, the servers will be down for quite some time, but there are many new files that have been added to the game, so make sure you turn website notifications on to know what’s been changed!

There are some leaked Fortnite Skins and other cosmetics dataminers have been able to get from the files, but keep in mind the majority of these will feature in the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass.

Fortnite v18.00 Leaked Skins

Epic Games had already revealed the Fabio Sparklemane and Carnage Skins in the hours after the Sky Operation event took place and these Skins can be seen below. Usually Epic tend to tease the Skins instead of showing what they look like fully, but that was not the case this time. The Skins Charlotte and Torin each have different Skins styles you can unlock:

Fortnite v18.00 Leaked Skins
Fortnite v18.00 Leaked Skins

The Toona Fish Skin has a lot of different customizable options, similar to Kymera in Season 7. It looks like you will have to collect Ink Bottles instead of Alien Artifacts to unlock the styles and some of the customizations are inspired by other popular Skins. Here are some of the customizable options:

You can see what the Carnage Skin looks like in full below. There is a Carnage Pickaxe which you can only use if you are using the Carnage Skin. If you didn’t already know, Carnage is from Venom and so will be of Marvel rarity. There will be some files that have been encrypted by Epic, which will likely include more Skins and these are encrypted to make it harder for dataminers to leak. There have been times were dataminers have been able to access these files and manage to leak them and if that happens, we will of course let you know.

What Game Mode is the Fortnite Live Event In? How to Join, Can’t see Sky Fire Playlist

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Here’s how to join the Operation SkyFire Fortnite live event including which game mode it’ll be in and how to join.

We’re finally at the end of Fortnite chapter 2 season 7. The Operation SkyFire live Fortnite event will be playable at 4 PM ET. However, if you haven’t logged into Fortnite by now, it’s highly unlikely you’ll be able to witness event yourself.

None of the other game modes are available now and players can now join the Operation SkyFire playlist. For those that are logged in but are confused as to how they can join and watch the live event, we have some quick tips to help you out.

How to Join the Fortnite Live Event

If you’re logged into Fortnite already and you can’t see the Operation: Sky Fire playlist, head to the menu located on the top right of your screen. Select game mode and re-selected Battle Royale.

You should now only see the Operation: Sky Fire event as seen in the image below:

Fortnite Live Event Sky Fire Game Mode
Fortnite Live Event Sky Fire Game Mode

The event game mode is squads and there’s a maximum of 48 players in each lobby. Select Ready whenever you want to jump into the game. It appears as though you can’t team kill in this game mode. The event will go live at 4 PM ET, although they usually start a little later than the scheduled time.

Once the event ends, we’ll go into downtime until the launch of chapter 2 season 8. Until then, be sure to check out all of the latest news and leaks we post heading into the new season. Turn on website notifications so you don’t miss any of the leaks and news.

For those that weren’t able to experience the event, we’ll be posting a recap of what happened during the event along with a video of the event.

Fortnite Season 8 Victory Royale Umbrella of the Last Reality Glider

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Fortnite chapter 2 season 8 Victory Royale umbrella has been revealed.

This season is all about cubes after the mothership was destroyed and a large number of cubes ended up landing on the map. The cinematic and Battle Pass trailers have been posted on the Fortnite Game YouTube channel.

We have a Carnage Fortnite skin along with six other skins in this seasons Battle Pass. We also have a secret skin that’s actually a secret for the first time in chapter 2. It’s likely that the skin is the “Queen Cube” character that’s been mentioned in the new files.

We also have some map changes and new weapons for the new season. We’ll dive into those later on once the servers are up and we can explore everything that’s changed from the season 7 map.

Every season, we get a new umbrella for winning a game of Fortnite during that season. Game modes like Team Rumble don’t count towards this as it’ll be too easy to gain the Victory Royale umbrella.

The Fortnite chapter 2 season 8 umbrella has been posted by data-miners. The name of the glider is called “Umbrella of the Last Reality” and the description for the glider is “We’ll always have Cubetown”. Here’s a look at the new umbrella:

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 VIctory Umbrella
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 VIctory Umbrella

As we’ve come to expect, the umbrella fits in with the cube theme for this season. The purple colour and the cube on top definitely stand out and it already looks like a fan favourite based on the feedback we’ve seen on Twitter and Reddit.

Let us know your thoughts on the Umbrella of the Last Reality. Are you a fan? Personally, this definitely looks better than the season 7 umbrella.

Are The Fortnite Servers Down? Server Status, When Will the Servers Be Back Up September 12 / 13

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Fortnite Servers are down today (September 12th to September 13th 2021).

If you’re wondering if the Fortnite servers are down or not, you’ve come to the right place. The Operation Sky Fire event is currently underway. Epic Games asked players to login more than half an hour before the event begins to ensure you are able to participate in the event yourself.

As is the issue with all events, the servers get overloaded with the amount of players looking to login when the event is about to start causing all sorts of different login error messages. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get in if you weren’t logged in half an hour before the scheduled event start time.
